How would you describe your coaching philosophy and approach to player development?

My coaching philosophy is centered on development first. I want players to grow technically, tactically, physically, and mentally in a positive and challenging environment. I believe in teaching the game the right way, building strong fundamentals, encouraging smart decision-making, and helping each player develop confidence and discipline. I want every player to feel supported, challenged, and motivated to improve every day.

What do you believe is the most important thing young players should learn from the game?

The most important thing young players should learn from the game is how to work hard, compete the right way, and be a great teammate. Soccer teaches discipline, resilience, accountability, and how to handle both success and adversity. Those lessons stay with them far beyond the field.

What excites you most about coaching in FC Ellicott City?

What excites me most about coaching at FC Ellicott City is the opportunity to be part of a club that values player development, community, and a strong soccer culture. I’m excited to help young players grow, build confidence, and compete in an environment that challenges them while keeping the game enjoyable. Being able to contribute to a club in this community is something I would be proud of.

What do you hope players take away from their experience playing for your team?

I hope players take away confidence, stronger skills, a higher understanding of the game, and a genuine love for soccer. I want them to feel that they improved as players and as people, learned the value of hard work and teamwork, and were part of a positive team environment that pushed them to be their best.
