Playing Experience

I’ve been playing soccer my entire life, both competitively and recreationally. Through years of experience, I’ve developed a strong understanding of the game, including positioning, decision-making, and technical fundamentals, which I now bring into my coaching to help players develop the right way.

How would you describe your coaching philosophy and approach to player development?

My philosophy is player-first development—focusing on building strong fundamentals, confidence, and decision-making. I emphasize playing the right way, encouraging creativity, and creating a positive but competitive environment where players are pushed to improve every session.

What do you believe is the most important thing young players should learn from the game?

At this age, mastering the basic technical skills is most important—first touch, passing, dribbling, and ball control. On top of that, I want them to build confidence, understand spacing and decision-making, and learn how to play as a team.

What excites you most about coaching in FC Ellicott City?

I’m excited about being part of a strong soccer community that values development and competing at a high level. I enjoy helping players grow and contributing to a club culture that pushes players to reach their full potential.

What do you hope players take away from their experience playing for your team?

I want every player to leave more confident, more skilled, and with a deeper understanding and love for the game. My goal is for them to improve not just as players, but also in discipline, teamwork, and mindset.
